Please keep descriptions to 100 words or less and put pet needing a home in your email subject line. These pets must be spayed or neutered before being placed on this page. Ads are deleted after 30 days.

Prospective adopters: please expect to pay a nominal fee for these pets - it is not a good idea, for many reasons, to offer pets for free.

Pala

Pala the Pug needs a home. She is an 8 year old spayed female. She was to be euthanized when her owner was diagnosed with cancer at the same time she needed back surgery. She's had the surgery and is walking well now. She does need eye medication twice a day for life as she has limited vision. She wants someone who's home a lot so retired folks might be best. She is ok with quiet dogs or as an only child, pee pad trained, loves her walks and snuggle time. Adoption fee of $100 and home check required. Contact pmferrin@earthlink.net

Karma is an approximately 1-year old, black, short hair, tortoise female. Spayed, current on shots. FIV/Leuk neg. Has received pet care; have documents of all visits. She is laid back and sweet. Will play some but likes to lay in the window and look at the birds and trees outside. She likes to drink dripping water from the bathroom sink and likes to sleep close by but not a lap cat. She does not scare easily and is curious. For example, she doesn't run away when I vacuum, she will sit near and watch. She is sweet and gentle. Niall

Niall (pronounced Nile) is a male, AKC bred, 3.8 yr old Irish Red & White Setter, all recent shots, neutered, parents are Champion show dogs. Well adjusted to friends we have over enough such that he recognizes them and treats them just like us. He will bark if someone knocks on the door. Sleeps by my bed on the floor. If he must go out, he will yap to let you know.....it is time for his walk....or that he just has to go out. He loves to retrieve his toy. Very well behaved upon meeting other dogs, loves the off-leash park where he can run full tilt. Niall a loveable Setter puppy who can't get enough attention. Never had a dog that would put one paw on each side of your lap while sitting and get right in you face to give you a hug and a lick or two. Hi! My name is Spooky I am a Jack Russell Terrier Mix. I am only 1 year old. I'm full of puppy playfulness and can't wait to find a family who has more time to spend with me. Rosco

Rosco is 3 yrs old, 65 lbs, house-broken, fixed, up to date on his shots and a great guard dog. He loves other dogs and wants to play with them all the time, lots of energy so he needs room to run around, playful, and very smart! He knows some basic commands (sit, wait, lie down, roll over, drop) but if you tell him "come" and reach out to get his collar, sometimes he will run away even, and especially, if you chase him. If he gets out of the yard/house, he will bolt (more training needed here). He's a great dog, but, with the baby, we can't give him enough attention/play time and room to run around as he should get and don't think it's fair for him to keep him in the side-yard all day. Please help Rosco find the perfect home!!! $25 donation to the East Valley Animal Shelter in lieu of "re-homing fee" will be appreciated. Happy is a 1 year old, 20 lbs, Jack Russell mix who is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all shots. He is very healthy and extremely smart. He has had basic training and is house trained, and knows commands like "sit", "wait" and "shake". He is friendly with other dogs, kids and people. He LOVES his walks and toys. Happy is very affectionate and just likes to be around people and to be your little pal. He would fit in perfectly with a family who has time for this fun puppy who loves to play, and who wants to go on doggie adventures with him, like hikes, parks and exploring. He would benefit from continued training, because this smart little guy has energy that can be put to a lot of good.Happy is currently living with the family who adopted him from the shelter, they are looking to place him in a new home because they just don't have the time for him and feel bad that he is crated a lot. Scarlett is a three year old, Boxer who had a non-contagious case of demodex mange. Scarlett’s mange was allowed to progress to the degree that she lost all of the fur on her body and her skin was covered in painful secondary infections. But now she is growing a beautiful coat of soft fawn fur. Scarlett loves all people she meets and wins them over with her deep brown, soulful eyes that have so much to say. Scarlett is extremely playful, loves her toys and has the energy of a one year old. Scarlett would do best in a home with older children due to her puppy-like nature and deserves a home that will provide her with the exercise, the attention, and the compassion that she was deprived the first three years of her life.
